Children and Craziness

As most people know I am a full-time nanny and 99.9% of the time I love my job. However there are some days that I would give anything to go back to my office job. The good thing is being a nanny gives me time to get my homework done, most of the time. Speaking of homework, my semester ends next week and I get a much needed break till I start back. I wish I could say that I see the light at the end of the tunnel but once I am done with my AAS I want to go for me BS and then hopefully continue for my masters.... so as you can see I have a long road ahead of me. If it could some how all be over that would be great but I am enjoying it as it comes for now.
I have finished all my Christmas shopping and am now in the process of waiting for a few things to come in the mail and then send things out. I don't know if I will get Christmas cards done this year or not, I guess we shall wait and see. I will post pictures later of our Christmas tree is is of course decorated in GREEN!!!!! Sage is not sure of it yet and enjoys running circles around it, but that doesn't surprise us. Anyways I should get back to work!!!!

Another Update

Sage... you know Heavenly Father made them so cute so that we would put up with them. Bedtime came for Sagey and like every other night she did not want to go to bed. Well tonight she thought she could out run mommy and daddy and ran around the chair, behind the couch into the kitchen till she was caught. Here you can see just how cute she is!

Thanksgiving

So this week was crazy as many weekends are. Nate and I hosted thanksgiving at our home and lets just say things did not go how I expected. Nate and I were hoping that everyone would come over by noon, as I had made snacks and had hoped to have time to hang out and enjoy everything. I guess Nate and I remembered our childhood growing up were thanksgiving was an all day event. However the day was still successful we had great food and a few good laughs. I made Nate an Apple Pie for his birthday and we sang to him, despite his wish that we not. Then we went off to the movies. Nate and Phil saw BOLT. Steph and I saw TWILIGHT and FOUR CHRISTMAS'. Other than that my Dad has informed me that I do not update this as much as I need to, so I will attempt to be better. Here are a few pictures... I am of course behind the camera.

Where we stand

Nate is supposed to be back to the states sometime this month and for the sake of my sanity I really hope he is. He will still need medical treatment for his ankle so it is not certain when he will be home. We are closing on the house on June 30th and that too is driving me insane. Sage is keeping me on my toes but I love her to death and I can not wait for Nate to meet the puppy. Well that is all there is for now.

Puppy and the House

Well there is a new member of our family now, her name is Sage and she is an adorable baby girl. As of right now she is a little over six weeks old and keeping me on my toes but I am enjoying every minute of it. She is a mutt puppy with a combination of rottie, American staffiture terrier, and lab. The first night she was home with me she woke me up every two hours, but at this point I am happy to report she is sleeping through the night.
Nate is still in Kuaitt, and hating every minute of it. He should be back stateside within the month, but there is no telling were they will send him to get medical treatment. He wants to get home to his puppy and of course me and we miss each other like crazy.
To add to all the other excitement Nate and I are closing on a house on the 30th of June. It is nothing huge but it sits on a double lot and is right next to walking path that goes to the park and the river. We know that is a house that we would enjoy spending many years in, however that is out of our hands and up to the army.
Honestly I really should tell people I created this blog otherwise no one will read it. :D

Welcome!

Hello Friends and Family, Nate and I have decided that it was time we created a blog site. That way we can easily keep in touch with those in the world around us. So the first order of business would be to explain the title Olmstead Familie, the word Familie is German for the word Family. Since Nate and I are primarily of German decent it seemed like the perfect title. Last order of business, welcome and hopfully Nate and I will keep this updated!
